Wastelands of Damnation: Dark Ages is a Conspiratorial Horror/Survival game series created by Mykal Lakim and published by Dark Phoenix Publishing. Dark Ages uses the L.I.F.E System and is a part of the Wastelands of Damnation roleplayings series. Dark Ages introudces you, the player, to the fall of Rome and the emergence of the Dark Ages.

ConceptEdit

Wastelands of Damnation: Dark Ages takes place after the events of the Age of Reckoning. For mortal characters born during this transition, life is difficult without the light of Rome. The world falls to darkness for the first time since the Great Judgement and the world looks to the heavens for answers.

Game SystemEdit

Dark Ages is played using the L.I.F.E. System (Live-Action In Fantasy Environment). In addition to the games' rules the most important thing to memorize are the mechanics, based on the numerical value of four. The game can be played with a 12 sided dice or the traditional method of Throwing Chops (Rock, Paper, Scissors) making gameplay simple and easy to understand. In December 2012, Dark Phoenix Publishing announced the release of a Tabletop variant as well as another LARP varant known as Infinity which would simplify the mechanics of the game to appease gamers who felt number crunching was too difficult.

Other Books in the SeriesEdit

Wastelands of Damnation: Dark Ages is just the Corebook, giving players the opportunity to play from the fall of Rome to the Victorian Era in general, broad strokes. Building a mortal is no problem with this Corebook. For those who wish to play as a Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, etc., Dark Phoenix Publishing is also releasing Sourcebooks to go with the Corebook detailing everything players need to play their favorite creature type within this dark period of time. Dark Ages is the third book to be a part of a time period series.
